Mamata Banerjee (Bengali: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়) (born 5 January 1955) is the current Chief Minister of the Indian state of West Bengal. She is the first woman Chief Minister of the state. She is also the founder and chairperson of the Trinamool Congress.
